After buying my first home, Which is around 500 sf, I was looking for ways that would save money and use less water and energy. I exchanged my shower head for an aerated one, it uses less water, and feels really nice when showering-but the best news came when my water bill went from $168 to $82, I was shocked! It actually worked, I sued less water, and saved money! The shower head only cost me a few dollars at the hardware store, and some new shower massager come with a setting-called water saver-it's a simple and easy step to take in the home.

    SCIPIO Biofuels Mission Statement

SCIPIO Biofuels was founded with the expressed goal of leading the nation in the conversion from petrochemical-based fuels to less polluting, environmentally friendly, and infinitely renewable biofuels. SCIPIO intends to set the standards for innovation, yield, value, and ethics by which all others in the biofuels market, will be judged. Also by which, SCIPIO will become a recognized and trusted brand name.

SCIPIO Biofuel Systems- Aquaculture and Harvesting

The basic designs for other company’s systems that cultivate and harvest algae are somewhat similar, regardless of the manufacturer. This is not the case at SCIPIO. At PBR system start up the desired algal specie is introduced into the sealed system (the photobioreactor or PBR) where it is exposed to sunlight while in suspension in a mixture of water, nutrients, and CO2. The PBR system nutrient levels, CO2 concentration, temperature and light intensity are all monitored by computer to ensure the PBR operates within the tolerances required by the algae during cultivation. The mature algae is to be harvested using proprietary equipment, de-watered, and prepared for subsequent processing.

SCIPIO has been developing the proprietary elements of our PBR and harvester designs for almost 10 years. Our patent-pending PBR is scalable and configurable for almost any site and output desired. The key difference between SCIPIO and other manufacturers is the cutting-edge design and the combinations of these elements to produce superior performance and superior yields.

Just a little more time and... ...we can light this candle!

We're almost ready to stand the transportation fuels industry on it's ear. When it does, you won't be able to miss it.

I build biodiesel processors which turn waste vegetable oil into biodiesel. It is really amazing how simple the processI have over 50 pages of information dealing with biodiesel. If you can get WVO cheap or free....then you can save thousands per year. You get alittle dirty, but you also get better at making biodiesel as time goes on. Good blog. Right now making at home is under $2.00 while the pumps are near $5.00 for diesel.
